Hannah came home from a play date begging for the game Monoply. Now she and Kate love playing and Rachel Lee, who wants to play every game with us, is trying to play along. This is how a 3 year old plays Monoply...

Today we released the ladybugs that we watch change. Fun times!

Our house

PThere are things about our house that we have changed, and things about the house that we want to change. But one thing I love that I hope never changes is the view from our deck. I love our outdoor space and just relaxing and appreciating the beauty.

40th anniversary party

My parents are the best! And this year to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Jenna and I planned a surprise party for them. 

Rachel was not able to come but she skyped in with Joe and Kara and it was super fun! We had 27 people come and mom and dad felt very special!

By the end of the night everyone had a fun time and enjoyed good food. Can't wait to see what blessings lay ahead in the next 40 years!

And man am I beat!

Tired babes

We have been busy. Crazy busy in fact! The girls have been also doing a ton of stuff at school that usually involves sugar at the end. Put the two together and you have a recipe for a disaster!

Today I was putside trimming the bushes when I realized how quiet it was inside. Hannah was still in school, but Kate and Rachel Lee were so quiet so I called to them and no one answered. I went inside and called them and still no answer. I went upstairs and found Kate asleep on her bed...but where was Rachel Lee? She was not in her bed, or Hannah's, or my bed...she was not in the study so I ran downstairs and she was not on the couch...I started to mildly panic...I called and called until I found her asleep on the green couch. Phew! I had some t-i-r-e-d babes!

Kindergarten Graduation Luau

LThe end of the school year is almost here and to celebrate all the work of the kindergarten kiddos we had a luau! It was a fun time honoring the first (of many!) school years!

40th birthday party

I can hardly believe I am 35 but it's even harder to believe that's cousin and his wife are 40! But here's the proof...

Music for Minors

The girl's school has a misic program called Music for Minprs and the end of the year performance was so fun! Happy kids singing...what could be better?

My Running Gals

The girls just had their end of the season track award ceremony. I am so proud of their work and improvement! Here is to many years of running! (And Hannah was kind enough to let RL take a picture with her awards since RL didn't get any).

Camping at De Valle

We took a weekend trip to go camping. It was great weather and the lake was a fun place to cool off...although a far cry from La Jolla Shores! On our hike Hannah and I were leading the way when I screamed and grabbed Hannah and ran back toward Jeff. There on the trail was a baby rattle snake!!!  Jeff confirmed the rattle and then tried to shoo it away by throwing rocks at it. Once Jeff stopped throwing rocks the snake slowly started to slither away and once it crsssed to the other side if the trail Jeff stood guard and the girls and I ran past. WHAT AN AFBENTURE!
