Storm watchers

Yesterday Jeff was working at his desk in our room and could hear the commotion of getting the kids ready for a walk. He yelled down that it would probably start raining in 10 minutes because he was watching the storm move over Hayward towards us. As he predicted, by the time we had socks, shoes, coats, and the dog on a leash it was raining. So the kids watched the storm from the deck, and once the rain cloud passed we went for our walk. It was incredible to see the sun coming through the clouds where once there was a downpour. 

Early morning runs

We get up before the sun, run when it’s cold and enjoy the sunrise. It’s beautiful to run in the morning, and today was the first time Emely ran all the way to the park snd home! She quite the little runner!

100th day of virtual school

This year has been I like any other. It was supposed to be a year where Gabriel started preschool 2 days a week and with everyone else at school I would have some down time (and maybe go back to being an ES!). But Gods plans for this year we’re different...with the pandemic and taking on Aveyanna we have a very full house ALL THE TIME! I don’t have down time but instead help with school, teach Emely TK, care for baby, entertain Gabriel (build endless train tracks!)  and eventually take a 20 min rest on the couch bc all the rooms are filled with kids working/zooming. What a year. And it’s not over. So we celebrate these milestones, like the 100th day of school. We celebrated by Emely and Rachel Lee dressing up for their schools as old period, getting coffee and special drinks from cafe 4 and ordering chipotle for dinner and of course wrestling after dinner!

Making pizza

With everyone home I’ve started making lunch for the crew in addition to cleaning. Yep, we’re a three pizza kind of family! Gabriel added the olives, Emely added the perpperoni and I left my plain and cheesy! 

After the storm

Last night we had rain, wind and lightening. It was quite a storm! So today it was both clean and clearing but but also there was destruction and debris. We bundled up ans had a lovely walk this afternoon...minus Hannah and Jeff who had to work...and took it all in.

Such a beautiful day to be outside and creating art together! The rocks in our garden have never been more colorful!!

Anthony Chabot Park

We enjoy our strolls at Lake Chabot. Turns out there are many trails in Chabot though so we explored this one near their campsite to see if we one day. Post covid, want to camp there.
