I have been teaching the girls some simple Spanish...counting, colors, and simple commands. Kate and I were drawing and I said,
S: Oh that's lovely!
K: It's neat-o! Hey, did you hear my Spanish word? NEAT-O!
Poor girls, a Gringa is teaching them Spanish...
H: Madison (a girl in her preschool) and I are best friends.
S: That's fun! Does she know?
H: Yes, we agreed to be best friends and not play Police Officers anymore.
S: Good. And you can have more than one best friend. Just make sure you don't leave others out.
H: I already know that. Mariah is my best friend too.
S: So if Abbey asked to be your best friend you would say...
H: YES!
S: And if Josh asked to be your best friend you would say...
H: Um...I don't have a good feeling about that.
The other day the girls got up from their rest time in . The room was still dark and the sound machine was on so Rachel Lee was peeking in like she knew that someone was in there. She then looked at me and said,
R: Da-da
S: Da-da is still at work. He's bye-bye
R: Da-da
That's right...Rachel Lee is now starting to copy the beginning sounds of words and can say Ma-ma and Da-da. The other day she even pointed at the fruit bowl and said Na-na and so I gave her a banana and she walked away very happily. It's hard to believe that she is almost 14 months! Where did the time go?

Rewind: Valentine's Day
Jeff and I had a lovely Valentine's Day with the girls enjoying some free Chick-fil-A...what? Not your idea of a romantic Valentine's with the one you love? Well, we had dinner for FREE (thanks, Chick-fil-A!) and then we sent the kids off into the play area where they were the only kids playing and we sat and talked with each other. I had dinner with the ones I love and conversation with the man of my dreams. I think it was perfect!
The girls and I also celebrated at two different parties: one on Monday, the 13th and a party with just the two younger girls while Hannah was at school. Lots of fun, food, cards, hearts and pink...love truly abounds!

A Boo-tiful Party
It's about time...we finally had the birthday party for Boo that has been canceled and rescheduled three times due to sickness! We threw a play group party for her and had a great time playing outside, eating cupcakes, fruit and yogurts and just celebrating the joy that Baby Boo is in our family and the little girl that she is becoming. Costumes are a huge hit at our house (we have a whole dress up toy box) so there was Cinderella, Spiderman, Snow White, ballerinas, Belle and other fun impromptu characters at the party...no need to hire any entertainment because the kids are enough entertainment themselves!

Book Club
Hannah and Kate like to read books, and have recently turned Rachel Lee's crib into a meeting place for their book club. It's a special place to them, and I don't have to worry what they are up to their during book club meetings...and on occasions Rachel Lee likes to join in too. Ahh, the beauty of a crib!

Sea World
We went to Sea World with Hannah's preschool the other day and Hannah said that her favorite part was the shark tank because "I just like it...I just did." I love how simple a four year old keeps life...I just do, so there. Kate said that her favorite part was "Polka dots" which was not part of the day at all, just showing the silliness of my three year old...my life is truly blessed!

Disappearing Strawberries
Baby Boo has discovered the strawberry patch in the backyard. I often try to distract her, but she has lost interested in the sandbox, the slide and the ladder in lieu of hunting for a sweet red strawberry. The problem: she also finds and eats green strawberries. The other problem: we can't get her to eat store bought strawberries!

Good Friends, Good Times
There's nothing as sweet as hanging out with friends. We often get together with some of our friends, but I usually don't take many pictures of the time together...until now! Friends are a blessing from God, and I want to remember how God has cared for my girls and I by surrounding us with friends...

Cabin Fever!!
We headed to my parent's cabin this weekend and had a great time. When we arrived in Friday night the girls were a little disappointed that there was no snow. On Saturday as we hiked around we decided that we would splurge and go to the Ski Resort across the way and buy tickets to play in the sled/snow play area. We had a blast - and to top it off, by the middle of the day i started to snow!! The girls loved trying to catch the snow in their mouth, and had a great time sledding, building snowmen, making snow balls and snow angles...it was such a fun filled family weekend. Hannah and Kate are both eager to go back to the cabin!
