Fakes-giving with my Folks

My mom
Called the other day and gave me the best news...dad's work was slow (that's not the best part) so they had time to come and visit us for an early Thanksging...YAY!!

Starting off at Chipotle

Sleepover and Pump It Up

For Thanksgiving we took the entire week off (just like the public schools around us). We started our vacation time with a sleepover...each girl invited one friend...followed by some okay time at pump it up. Phew...vacation time can be exhausting!!

Biking by the bay

Park Time

Pre Thanksgiving Cleanse

To start off our Thanksgiving we grabbed a coffee and played lots of games. We really enjoyed being together and doing just nothing...playing, going for a hike, and drinking coffee. So thankful for time together and relaxing from our crazy pace of life.

Playing house...

Today at this park the girls decided to play house. Rachel Lee said, "I'm the orphan at the orphanage!" Hannah the followed, "I'll be the widow." Kate, not to be left out said, "No you be an orphan too and I'll adopt you both!"

Yes it's a weird way to play house where the typical roles are mom, dad and kids, but I think it reflects what I think of in Gods family...those who need a home are accepted. Those who are broken hearted and lonely find a husband and father to care for them. I don't know what lessons Kay ahead of us on this journey with Emely, but I know that we are all changed by our time with her do far.
